Spring is here in Boston, and that means school view book photography. Today I wanted to share some samples from a recent shoot at Mount Holyoke College in Western Massachusetts. This is my second year photographing for the college, and some of my previous work can be found here: Mount Holyoke College Photography.
An interesting techinical note about this shoot, it was the first shoot I was able to use my new Hasselblad H5D-50c with wifi. It really is an amazing camera, Hasselblad's first with a CMOS sensor that allows it to take incredibly detailed photos with amazing tonal range, even in super low light. It's the first time I've been able to get the same image quality in the studio and on location. It also connects to a wifi network to send preview images of what I'm shooting to an iPad - it's a great way for an art director to give immediate feedback on what I'm shooting on location. I honestly couldn't be happier with the camera's performance.
